Pay for what you use, and nothing else
No monthly subscription, no seat licence, no annual contract, and no free tier designed to expire at an inconvenient moment. You buy credits, they get spent as you use Frankie, and they never run out of time.
The meter
One hundred credits equal one US dollar
Every account shows its balance and its history in Settings, so you always know where you are.
- 2 creditsA typed question and answer. Two cents.
- 10 creditsA spoken conversation. Ten cents.
- 25 creditsA generated picture. Twenty five cents.
- FreeReading a document you photographed, reminders, saved contacts, mail, and memory.
A light week
Five dollars is five hundred credits. That is roughly fifty spoken conversations, or two hundred and fifty typed answers, or any mix.
- Everything is included at every level
- No feature is held back behind a tier
- Credits never expire
Daily use
Someone who talks to Frankie most days, sets reminders, and photographs the occasional letter tends to land here. It is a meter, not a guess, so your number is your own.
- Unlimited reminders and saved contacts
- Unlimited document reading
- Memory and voice lock included
- Top up whenever, in any amount from $5
Organizations
Care homes, clinics, agencies, employers, libraries, and community groups fund accounts centrally so the people they serve never meet a payment screen.
- One individual account per person
- Central billing and control of spend
- Nothing for anyone to install
Why this way
A subscription would have been easier for us
A flat monthly fee is simpler to sell and far more profitable when people forget to cancel. We did not want a business that quietly depends on someone’s parent paying for a service they stopped using in March.
So the meter is honest and visible. You can see the balance, you can see what each thing cost, and if you go three months without opening it you pay nothing at all. If you use it hard, you pay for that, and everything is included either way. There is no tier where memory is switched off, or where voice lock costs extra, or where you have to upgrade to save more than five contacts.
The same reasoning runs through the rest of the product. No advertising, no data sold, no engagement mechanics, and a privacy notice written in plain language because a policy nobody can read is not consent.
