Four steps, about ten minutes, once
After this, the whole thing is one green button. There is no menu structure to learn, no wake word to remember, and no settings you have to get right before Frankie becomes useful.
The setup
What you do once
Create the account
One friendly question at a time: who it is for, the name Frankie should call you and how to say it, the languages you speak, an email, and a US mobile number confirmed with a texted code.
Tell him where home is
Your time zone and ZIP code, so “tomorrow morning” means the right thing and the weather, news, traffic and restaurants are about your own town. He never tracks your phone.
Save the people who matter
Family, friends, colleagues, the doctor, the plumber. Numbers, emails, addresses, and how each one relates to you. This is what turns “text my daughter” into an actual message to an actual person.
Put him everywhere you are
Install the free app on your phone and add Frankie to Chrome on the computer. Sign in once, or sign the computer in with your phone, and the same conversation follows you.

What using Frankie actually looks like
You press Call Frankie and say what you want, in whatever words come out, in any of sixteen languages. There is no correct phrasing. If you get halfway through and change your mind, say so, and Frankie follows.
It feels like a phone call
Frankie answers out loud in a natural voice, at a pace you can follow. He lets you finish, waits while you think, holds the line when the doorbell rings, and hangs up when you say goodbye. Prefer to type? Type, even in the middle of a call.
He remembers
Not just within one conversation. Next week, when you ask what the pharmacy said, he knows. Privacy Mode is on from the first day, so the personal things stay with him when other people are around, and one switch gives his memory back.
He does the job
Ask for a reminder and Frankie rings you at the time, in his own voice. Ask for a shopping list and it is in your Notebook. Ask where to eat, what to buy, or how to get somewhere, and you get the real places, the real shops and the real flights, with the buttons to call, buy or book.
He keeps you up to date
Your For You feed has the week’s weather, your town’s own news, and the channels you follow on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and more. Hear a siren? Ask what is going on, and he finds out.
He follows you
Start on the phone, carry on at the computer, and go back again. In Google Chrome Frankie also sits beside the website you are on, reads it with you, and shows you exactly where to click.
He grows without getting harder
New abilities keep arriving, the newest being Frankie for Chrome. None of them change how you use him, because you use him by talking. New abilities simply mean there is more you can ask for.
